S velkou radostí oznamujeme, že nadcházející Mistrovství světa v bezmotorovém létání se uskuteční pod oficiální záštitou prezidenta České republiky Petra Pavla. Udělení záštity je pro české sportovní letectví velkým uznáním a potvrzením významu tohoto odvětví nejen ve sportovním, ale i společenském a technickém kontextu.
Záštitu nad šampionátem převzal rovněž ministr dopravy Martin Kupka, který – stejně jako prezident Pavel – přislíbil svou účast na závěrečném ceremoniálu mistrovství. Tato podpora ze strany nejvyšších představitelů státu výrazně přispívá k prestiži akce a dává najevo, že letectví – ať už sportovní, civilní nebo vojenské – má v České republice silnou oporu.
Prezidentova podpora leteckého sportu
Prezident Pavel je dlouhodobě známý svou podporou leteckých sportovců a zájmem o letectví obecně. V roce 2023 i 2024 se osobně zúčastnil galavečera Letecký sportovec roku, kde předával ocenění nejlepším sportovcům v různých leteckých disciplínách. V obou případech ve svém projevu vyzdvihl profesionalitu, pokoru a význam mezinárodních úspěchů českých reprezentantů, které přispívají k dobrému jménu České republiky v zahraničí.
Navíc v roce 2025 absolvoval let v novém výcvikovém letounu Aero L-39 Skyfox, čímž podpořil domácí letecký průmysl a demonstroval svůj osobní vztah k oboru.
Výborná spolupráce se státními institucemi
České sportovní letectví má dlouhodobě velmi dobrou spolupráci s Ministerstvem dopravy, Úřadem pro civilní letectví, Armádou České republiky i Řízením letového provozu ČR. Tato koordinace umožňuje bezpečný rozvoj sportovního létání, modernizaci infrastruktury a pořádání mezinárodních akcí na vysoké úrovni.

We are pleased to announce that the upcoming World Gliding Championships will take place under the official patronage of the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel. Minister of Transport Martin Kupka has also granted his patronage to the event and, like President Pavel, has confirmed his attendance at the closing ceremony of the championship. He personally attended the Aviation Athlete of the Year gala in both 2023 and 2024, where he presented awards to top athletes across various aviation disciplines.
